We offer two species of flightless fruit flies in 5 formats (Common melanogaster, golden melanogaster, black Hydei, Golden Hydei and Turkish Glider melanogaster):

• Drosophila melanogaster – smaller, faster-breeding, ideal for young jumpers.

• Drosophila hydei – larger, longer-lasting, perfect for adult spiders and mantises.

Yes! We offer a Live Arrival Guarantee on all shipments. If your order arrives DOA (dead on arrival), simply send us a photo within 2 hours and we’ll issue a refund or replacement. Live Arrival Guarantee is only valid for shipment using USPS Priority or similar service from other carriers. There are no guarantees for any live shipment that uses ground service from any carrier.

Keep cultures at room temperature (20–24°C / 68–75°F). Avoid direct sunlight and high humidity. Lightly mist the culture if it starts to dry out.

Fruit fly cultures typically last 4-6 weeks from the date on the label and can produce multiple waves of flies. Warmer temps accelerate their life cycle, cooler temps slow them down.

Non-Express orders ship Monday to Wednesday to avoid weekend delays. Express/Overnight orders ship Monday through Thursday. You’ll receive tracking info once it’s on the way. We pack every order to maximize survival in transit.

Absolutely. We specialize in feeders specifically chosen and raised for arachnids and small insectivores. Our insects are chemical-free and mite free.

Yes! Our cultures are starter-friendly. We also sell starter kits and supplies for those looking to grow their own feeder colonies at home.
